Lennel

The ancient hamlet of Lennel (no evidence of it's remains exist today making it impossible to pinpoint the exact location.) was frequently visited by English borderers during their predatory excursions, resulting in the abandonment of the original site to a site further west, now the origin of the New town of Lennel.

Coldstream (Smeatons) Bridge

To the east of Coldstream lies Smeaton's seven arched bridge which was erected between
1763 - 1766 at a cost of £6000, the bridge spans the river Tweed replacing the age old invasion ford and connects Scotland to the north with its neighbour England to the south.
